Camp Velocity is no ordinary camp! Base camp for the weekend is a family-friendly private sporting ranch in the heart of Sonoma with a spectacular blend of outdoor activities, beautiful Sonoma views, and Wine Country luxury.

Camp Velocity is open to adults and families alike. Always wished there was a car event that your family or significant other would enjoy as much as you do? This is that event!

Here’s what campers will enjoy all weekend:

  • Gourmet camp meals from Friday night dinner through Sunday morning breakfast

  • Two drinks nightly (more available for purchase) at indoor and outdoor bars

  • Access to all camp amenities, including modern bathrooms and hot showers

  • Access to all camp activities, including bocce courts, axe throwing pitches, fire pits, game room, movies, and lawn games

  • A guided Saturday backroads drive through a special Sonoma route, including lunch

  • Optional Saturday activities for those who don’t want to drive, including archery, fly fishing, and a luxury shuttle to downtown Sonoma

  • Weekend car corral parking for one vehicle

  • Site-wide high-speed WiFi

  • Electrical outlets in select accommodations

FRIDAY EVENING: WELCOME DRINKS, OUTDOOR MOVIES, & CAR CORRAL

Arrive & Unwind

Camp Velocity begins with an easy, welcoming evening designed to help everyone settle in.

Join fellow guests for welcome drinks, casual conversation, wood-fired pizzas, and a relaxed round of bocce before the night winds down with an outdoor car-themed movie double feature under the stars.

Check out each others’ rides at the car corral, and gather around a fire pit to review the route notes for Saturday’s daytime drive.

It’s an unhurried, social start, perfect for reconnecting with friends, meeting new faces, and easing into the Camp Velocity weekend together.

SATURDAY DAY: HIT THE ROAD OR CHILL AT CAMP

All-Day Fun, On The Road Or At Camp

Saturday is yours to shape, but starts for everyone with piping hot breakfast burritos, fresh fruits, and hot drinks served by the bocce courts.

Drivers can head out for a spirited group drive through some of Northern California’s most rewarding roads, with a roadside lunch stop for a well-earned break.

Those staying back at camp will enjoy a laid-back day of games and crafting, optional camp activities like fly casting and archery, and plenty of space to lounge and relax. A camp lunch will be served as well.

And, for those who want to mix city with country, an optional bus to Sonoma downtown adds shopping and wine tasting to the mix.

Whether you’re carving corners or lingering over coffee, the day is intentionally flexible—designed so everyone, from avid drivers to content loungers, feels right at home.

SATURDAY NIGHT: BBQ, CAMPFIRES, SIM RIGS, & GAMES

Drivers & Campers Reconvene

As the sun sets, Camp Velocity comes back together for an evening that’s equal parts refined and relaxed.

Wine tasting leads into an outdoor barbecue, followed by drinks, conversation, and an exhilarating game night complete with pro-level driving sim rigs, pool tables, ping pong, foosball, and more.

It’s a warm, communal atmosphere where stories from the day’s drive get shared, kids and adults can spend time bonding, and the day’s adventures carry on well into the evening.

It’s Lights Out And Away We Go

Sunday morning brings a casual camp breakfast and a communal Formula 1 watch party.

Whether you’re a devoted F1 fan or just enjoying the energy of race morning, it’s a comfortable, convivial way to wrap the weekend: coffee in hand, your favorite teams and drivers competing for the win, and no rush to be anywhere else.

Looking for less screen time? Try your hand at axe throwing, bocce, or just get a couple extra hours of lounging around camp before heading back home.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Each campsite includes accommodations for between one and six campers. Each camper gets the following:

    • Fully catered meals from Friday night through Sunday morning

    • Access to all Camp Velocity amenities, including bathrooms and showers.

    • Access to all included Camp Velocity activities, including bocce, axe throwing, game room, fire pits, movies, and more. Some activities are available only at specified times.

    • Two drink tickets on Friday night and two drink tickets on Saturday night. Additional drinks may be purchased separately.

    • Parking for one car.

    • For furnished accommodations, fresh linens and towels.

    • Sitewide WiFi

  • You can bring whoever you’d like! The Hunter’s Cabins can sleep up to eight, and are great for two families to share.

  • It is! This may be one of the best opportunities to bring your kids or significant other to a car event that will be as fun for them as it is for you.

  • You don’t have to if you don’t want to! While the drivers are off carving corners, campers who choose to stay will have a full suite of activities available at camp, as well as a shuttle to downtown Sonoma.

  • Camp Velocity is open to cars of distinction. That’s a purposely broad term, and can include anything from 1950s sports cars to modern performance cars that can turn a head or two.

  • Yes, although we highly recommend joining for the entire weekend, as we have so much fun stuff planned for each day!

  • Of course. Just let us know and we’ll make sure we have you taken care of.

  • Camp Velocity is a sleepover camp, not a day camp. Perhaps we’ll do something like a day camp in the future, but this event isn’t it.

  • The exact location is a secret for now (although we’re sure a few of you can probably recognize where it is based on the description). All we can say is that it is in Sonoma.

  • We recommend packing what you’d bring for a weekend getaway where you know you’ll be spending time outdoors. Certain accommodations come furnished with linens. Others may require that you bring your own cots, sleeping bags, etc. Please check each accommodation listing type to see what is included.

  • There is fast sitewide WiFi, and modern bathrooms and hot showers are provided for all campers. Electricity is available in many, but not all, accommodation types. Please plan accordingly.

  • Camp Velocity happens rain or shine. There are many indoor spaces that will be accessible throughout each day, and all provided accommodations are weatherproof.
