THE ITINERARY

November 2: Opening Night Welcome in Paso Robles

A California Vinter’s Welcome

Velocity Rally begins with an exclusive opening night reception and Vintner’s dinner at Velocity Founder Jeff O'Neill's beautiful Robert Hall winery, tucked into the rolling vineyard hills of Paso Robles.

You'll meet your fellow adventurers, and hear from Jeff and Robert Hall’s master winemaker on what goes into crafting a world-class Cabernet Sauvignon.

Afterwards, you’ll retire to your reserved guest room at the famed Allegretto Resort & Spa.

November 3: Paso Robles to Monterey Discovery Drive

The Insider’s Inland Roads

Day one traces hidden backroads that snake through coastal California from Paso wine country to the fog-cooled surrounds of Carmel.

Along the way, we'll stop to visit one of the original 17th century Spanish missions along the original El Camino Real, as well as duck into one of the world's greatest private motorcycle collections for a guided tour from a world-renown collector.

November 3: Dining Under The Sea

Private Dinner Under The Monterey Bay Aquarium’s Open Sea

No crowds. We’ve reserved the entire Open Sea for the evening to create an incredible dinner setting.

Just you, your fellow travelers, a gourmet three-course meal, and 1.2 million gallons of seawater filled with sharks, sea turtles, and schools of shimmering fish.

Post dinner, you’ll be able to roam crowd-free through the other exhibits at the Aquarium before retiring to your room at the nearby Intercontinental Hotel.

November 4: Monterey to Sonoma Discovery Drive

Bay Area Backroads

On day two, we'll blend stints on the legendary Pacific Coast Highway with inland jaunts through redwood forests that follow the same routes that California's road racers competed on in the 1950s and 1960s.

A lunch break at the legendary Alice’s in Woodside provides an opportunity to check out local rides and cuisine before continuing north.

The day's drive will end at the gorgeous Ram's Gate Winery, where a semi-formal gala dinner will put a cap to an incredible journey — almost.

November 4: A Sonoma Celebration

Between Two Vines

Situated just across from Sonoma Raceway, home of the Velocity Invitational, sits Ram’s Gate Winery. With sweeping views of Sonoma and picturesque vines, Ram’s Gate provides an unforgettable setting for a semi-formal final night’s dinner (open to friends, family, and other enthusiasts, too).

A cocktail hour will be followed by a gourmet four-course winemaker’s dinner prepared by Ram’s Gate’s culinary staff and paired with Ram’s Gates award-winning wines.

After dinner, retire to your luxury suite at a five-star Sonoma resort to prepare for the last day’s activities.

November 5: Road, or Track, or Both

Sonoma’s Ultimate Driving Combination

After breakfast, we have a tentative slot with Sonoma Raceway to have the track reserved strictly for Velocity Tour for the morning. Pending confirmation, test yourself and your machine through Sonoma’s 12 challenging corners and high speed straights, or relax at the Turn 11 complex with catered bites and soft drinks.

After a catered lunch at Turn 11, you’ll have your choice to join for a 90-minute guided drive through some of Sonoma’s finest backroads, or simply return to the hotel to collect your luggage and spend the rest of the day exploring Sonoma on your own.
